CURRENTLY plying the air lanes between New Plymouth and the giant Penrod 74 oil drilling rig off the Taranaki coast is New Zealand's largest and most powerful helicopter, Helicopters (NZ) Ltd's Sikorsky S-58T ZK-HIH, the first of its type to appear on the civil register here. It arrived in New Zealand towards the end of last year and has only recently been deployed from the company's engineering base at Nelson to its forward operating base at New Plymouth.
