A Tasman Sea Forced Landing

FOR SIX YEARS the two Tasman Empire Airways Limited Short S.30 flying boats ZK-AMA Aotearoa and ZK-AMC Awarua plied the Tasman Sea between Auckland and Sydney. The official first flight is celebrated as 30 April 1940 by Aotearoa but in fact the first revenue flight took place much earlier, on 13 October 1939.
